The Great Australian Cancer Bush Walk Raising $1m For The Cancer Council. 5th May 2008 – 27th June 2009. Michael is 20 days ahead of schedule.

You are invited to be part of a unique event in 2008. Australian history will be made with a truly challenging feat full of rewards for all involved. Veteran bush-walker and secondary school teacher Michael Mitchell will complete a historic 6022km bush walk Cape York QLD to Wilsons Promontory, VIC. Click here to find out more... Michael is looking for sponsored walkers to join him on a leg or two. Enjoy the bush, fresh air, exercise and maybe reach a personal goal or two along the way. For more information on how to be a bush walker, click here. | Bush Walking Clubs | Driving |  Bushwalking has been Michael's passion for fifteen years, so he is delighted by the participation of Australia's Bush Walking Clubs.
The experience the seasoned bush walkers will add is an exciting aspect of the bush walk. Walkers have the opportuinty to learn about the environment and history of the area they are walking through. We Invite Individuals, Bush Walking Clubs And Other Groups To Join Michael on the Walk. |  Accompanying Michael on his walk is the support crew. The crew is made up of volunteer drivers, and their families or friends. We welcome members of clubs across the states to join us on the walk as drivers.
Right now, we need drivers for next year and are keen to hear from you if you can volunteer. | Schools Opportunities | Contact Us |  As aschoolteacher at Catholic Regional College North Keilor,Michael encourages SRC or similar student groups to consider The Walk afocus for their fundraising efforts during 2008 &2009.
